With 2024 drawing to a close, we've decided to take a look at just how many episodes Coronation Street characters have been in this year.

Coronation Street favourite Gail Platt is about to exit the soap, but how many episodes has she been in this year so far?

Earlier this year, it was announced that Helen Worth would be leaving her role as Gail Platt after 50 years. With the actress retiring, Gail's final scenes are to air rather soon.

This year has seen Gail reunite with an old friend from her travels - Jesse Chadwick. Jesse is also the ex of Gail's long time nemesis, Eileen Grimshaw...

Sparking up a new feud, Gail sadly suffered a heart attack and was rushed to hospital. She then agreed to getting engaged to Jesse.

Gail is now weeks away from her wedding to her new lover, with this wedding hopefully giving Gail her happy ever after despite so many failed marriages of the past.

Her family aren't all on board though, worried that Gail hasn't thought moving to France through... In fact, Audrey's so concerned that she's started to fake an illness in a bid to get her daughter to stick around in Weatherfield.

But, with Gail about to exit, something tells us that Audrey doesn't get her way in the end...

2024 Gail Platt Coronation Street episode count revealed

Despite it being Gail's last year on the cobbles, she hasn't actually made many appearances.

Surprisingly, from January 1st - November 29th this year, Gail has only appeared in 27 episodes throughout 2024.

Her last scenes are due to air on Christmas Day, so whilst we can expect a few more episodes to be added to this figure by the time the year is out... it won't be many.
