Swarla's officially happening this Christmas as Carla and Lisa have just confessed their feelings to each other.
And, we have high hopes for the couple. So much so that we've compiled a list of everything we'd like to see happen now that they've become official. Ahhh!
Sally being their greatest ally
If there's one thing about Sally, it's that she prides herself on being an LGBTQ+ ally. She loves to make sure everyone is aware of this, always bringing up her daughter Sophie in conversation whenever she finds out that someone is part of the community.
We just have to see Sally find out about Carla and Lisa's relationship, giving them her support by saying 'My daughter Sophie's a lesbian.' It's a must at this point.
A proper deep chat about Carla's losses
Lisa threw the fact that Carla's never raised a child in her face the other day during an argument about her parenting of Betsy.
It would be beautiful to see Carla really open up to Lisa about her miscarriage and the loss of her unborn baby.
She could also go into more depth about Liam's death, bonding with Lisa as she continues to open up about her own grief over Becky.
Spend Christmas together
With Carla and Lisa ready to confess their feelings for each other in the coming month or so, by the time Christmas arrives... they should be all loved up.
We can totally see Carla, Lisa and Betsy joining Roy, Nina, Ryan (and Bobby, we guess), for a Christmas dinner. One happy family. We wonder what they'll buy each other as gifts?
U-haul (and meet the cat)
Carla recently put an offer in on the Platts' house, and we're unsure whether Lisa has actually moved out of her old place yet. We know she was going to...
Could they save on the mortage and just move in with each other? And, if this happens, can we PLEASE meet Lisa and Betsy's cat?
Kate's return
Wouldn't it be nice if Kate found out that her sister Carla is also a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
She could support Carla and share her own experience with her, also... maybe... she could perhaps be a bridesmaid at a potential future Swarla wedding?
Coronation Street Swarla 6. Can someone contact 'Chelle?
We feel like bestie Michelle would be thrilled to hear that Carla is finally happy with someone and has found love again. We reckon Michelle would definitely be Team Swarla on Coronation Street.
Michelle saw Carla at some of the darkest points of her life, and has witnessed several of her relationships. We'd love for her to find out about Carla's latest romantic relationship!
