Coronation Street Fans Predict Next Twist in Daisy Baby Story

On Christmas Day, there was a major twist in store for Daisy Midgeley, as the barmaid and former influencer found out she was pregnant.

Having slept with ex-fiance Daniel at the start of December, and dodgy copper Kit the following week, she went on to tell stepmum Jenny she wasn't sure who the father was.

While Kate Brooks heavily hinted that Daniel is the dad, telling the Mirror 'sometimes when you make a little mistake, things can come back and bite them on the bums, so that’s essentially what we’re doing with that triangle', and that their affair would have 'consequences', Daisy is currently uncertain.

Given how spur of the moment Daisy and Daniel sleeping together was, it seems unlikely that the pair considered protection, and looking at the dates of when she slept with both men, most fans are speculating Daniel will (hopefully) be the father. It's high time the street had another legacy baby, and another grandchild for Ken Barlow would be welcome!

Across social media, fans have thrown around a new theory as to how Daisy might end up figuring out that Daniel is her baby's father after all. With Bethany due to leave soon, it does stand to reason that impending fatherhood to another woman's baby might push her away...

As to how Daisy may discover who the dad really is, one fan suggested 'I think there'll be a twist and Kit will be childfree by choice and had a vasectomy', with another adding 'it'll come out that Kit can't have kids, I reckon, and that's when she'll know.'

A third fan added '[Kit] won't be able to have kids so she'll it's Daniel's', with another suggesting she'll chose to cut ties with Daniel in the New Year when she learns Kit is infertile, and realises her newly engaged ex is definitely the father of her baby.

The theory is currently doing the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, TikTok and Reddit, with many fans suggesting it's a theory that tie up the who's the daddy storyline in time for Lucy Fallon's maternity leave.

As fans have been hoping for a Daisy and Daniel reconciliation for over a year now, here's hoping she'll find out that Daniel is the father after all! But will the fan theory prove to be true? Or will the possibility the villainous copper is her baby's dad remain after all?
