Fans eagerly tuned into tonight's episode of Coronation Street, hoping for a 'moment' between Lisa Swain and Carla Connor, after the description stated 'Ryan urges Carla to act on her feelings for Lisa' — and act on them she did!
While many were expecting a heartfelt conversation between the pair, it seems Carla has been taking her advice from Elvis Presley — a little less conversation, a little more action, please...
Sparks were certainly flying this time...
Fans of the 'Swarla' pairing were delighted with the events during the first half of tonight's visit to Weatherfield. After speaking with Ryan about her feelings, Carla decided to take charge of the situation, heading back to her flat (where a hungover Lisa was staying).
It was then that Carla decided to go for it. After Lisa said she was getting dressed, the Underworld owner gave one simple demand: 'don't'.
The moment we've been waiting for! (credit: ITV)
What transpired from there truly was a thing of beauty. The long awaited kiss was finally shared, and the lovers ended up in Carla's bedroom — twice!
Will the love birds get their happy ending — and Betsy's approval?
The course of a soapy ship never did run smooth, and it wouldn't be Coronation Street without drama.
Of course the blissful bubble was soon popped, as Betsy was made aware of development in the relationship of her mum and her boss.
Still livid at Lisa for forgetting her late wife's birthday, the teen lashed out, first throwing a drink over her mother, before storming off.
Back at the flat, Carla tried to speak with Lisa about what had just happened, but the pair wound up arguing about the situation. As Lisa left, it seemed like their rendezvous might have been a one (or two, but who's counting?) time thing.
Although Carla later tried to speak to Betsy to make amends, the teenager didn't seem to be having any of it. Instead, she met up with Mason's crooked brothers, Matty and Logan, making them an offer...she'd help them break into the factory that Carla owns.
At present, it looks like Swain's focus will be on rebuilding her relationship with daughter Betsy...but, as the Radcliffe brothers break into Underworld next week, will that all change?
Were the scenes everything you hoped they'd be (and more)?
Definitely
Could have been better
