Despite Daisy vowing to cut ties with little Bertie just last week, it becomes clear soon enough that she just can’t stay away from the man she loves and his little boy.
This week, as Daniel finds himself let down regarding the cake for his son’s sixth birthday, his ex-fiancée steps in to save the day. Making the cake and showing up to his party, it seems she isn’t walking out of his life for good after all.
As the party unfolds, all the drama seems to be kicking off at once! Little Bertie spots Cassie drugging his grandad, something he quickly tells Daisy. When Daisy goes on to tell Daniel, Bethany is left jealous of their closeness and starts drinking.
By the time it comes to cutting the cake, Daisy tries to help a drunk Bethany, and ends up taking a tumble. Terrified for her unborn baby, she makes an excuse that she’s twisted her ankle, and Daniel is soon taking her to A&E.
In typical soap fashion, the other prospective baby daddy — villainous copper Kit — is already in the waiting room when they arrive.
Though Daisy tries to discreetly tell the nurse that she’s pregnant, both men overhear when she’s assured that X-ray won’t harm the baby.
Having slept with Daniel on the 11th December, and Kit just over a week later, both men know they could potentially be the father, and are left floored by this revelation.
Unfortunately, things only get even worse for potential father Daniel, when it comes to light that Cassie is also aware of Daisy’s pregnancy, and uses it to blackmail him into keeping her secret.
Daniel opens up to his nephew, Adam, about Daisy’s pregnancy and Cassie’s blackmail. With a DNA test already looming, and Cassie’s poisoning of Ken growing ever worse, what will they decide to do? Secrets don’t stay secrets for long in Weatherfield…
