It's been a long time coming for Lisa and Carla shippers aka Swarla stans. It's been a case of 'will they, won't they' since the spring, but Coronation Street spoilers for next week show that things are moving forward for the pair.
Carla supports a drunken Lisa
Betsy tells Lisa that she's off to visit Becky's grave as it's her birthday. Corrie fans will know that Lisa's wife and Betsy's other mum sadly died almost three years ago.
She had been on duty as a police officer when she was hit by a car and was killed. Sadly, spoilers reveal that Lisa forgets Becky's birthday and heads to the Rovers in a bid to take her mind off things.
Lisa has one too many though and ends up sleeping at Carla's, waking up with a hangover in the morning.
Carla prepares to make her move
With Lisa staying at her place, Carla admits to Ryan that she does have feelings for the detective. She feels so out of her depth though.
This isn't huge news to Ryan though as he's been teasing Carla over her chemistry with Lisa Swain for weeks now. He's clearly championing Swarla just as much as we are!
