Things are set to get more complicated over the coming months for Daniel Osbourne, as he finds himself once again embroiled in a love triangle.
This week, we saw Daniel and ex-fiancée, Daisy Midgeley, cover up a crime together. While Daniel stole and crashed a car, while under the influence of alcohol, Daisy took care of the evidence, hitting Shona Platt (and breaking her arm) in the process.
Considering both parties could well get arrested for their involvement, they've agreed to never speak about it again.
Spoilers for the festive period have promised that Daniel will soon admit he's still in love with Daisy, despite his relationship with Bethany Platt.

Rob Mallard previously told Digital Spy that 'Bethany would be a temporary hold for Daniel' and 'ultimately, I do think the history between Daniel and Daisy will have to be resolved and come back to the fore again'. It seems the end could be nigh for the pair.
Although Daniel gets down on one knee on Christmas Day (exactly two years on from his proposal to Daisy), it seems he may simply be trying to cover up all the cracks in their relationship.
The pair have spent a lot of time fighting and almost breaking up, and with Bethany's jealousy of Daisy already evident, could this come after the love declaration to Daisy?
While it looks like the barmaid is set to make things official with dodgy copper Kit Green, fans will know that he's already involved in a scandalous affair with Shona Platt, and Daisy has already made her dislike for him clear.
With Kit having seen CCTV of Daisy ditching the stolen car, could he be manipulating her into this? Or might she be stringing him along, so he doesn't spill the beans?

A lot is still unclear for the future of this messy love triangle, but New Year's Day sees the exes have a conversation which leaves Daisy in tears.
After Sarah corners Daisy about this, she fills a bag with Bertie's toys, telling Daniel she wants to cut ties with the Osbournes. Could this be because of something Sarah has said? Or is she simply trying to protect them from getting into trouble for their crimes?
The future is currently unclear for all characters involved, but with Lucy Fallon now on maternity leave, it looks as if the engagement could be shortlived.
Does this mean Daisy and Daniel will finally end up back together? Or will crooked Kit ensure this doesn't happen?
