There's clearly still a lot to come in the Daniel, Daisy and Bethany love triangle — with Kit keen to make it a square. Social media is already abuzz with theories, so here's ours...
With Jacob Green telling Inside Soap that '[Kit] realises that [Daisy's] not over [Daniel]. So he retaliates by being a bit of a naughty boy', it's looking like his manipulative streak may continue...
Fans saw Daisy and Daniel both involved in a crime this week, when the teacher stole and crashed Debbie Webster's car, with Daisy incriminating herself by covering it up, and hitting Shona in the process.
There's a lot yet to come with the love triangle, and a lot of plot points that are still under wraps, but could Daisy agree to date dodgy Kit, in order to keep Daniel safe?
The barmaid already knows what the bent copper is like, having made her thoughts and feelings on him perfectly clear. She doesn't trust him nor does she agree with his lack of empathy, but it looks like the pair are still set to get cosy in the coming weeks.

At the end of Monday night's episode, Kit saw Daisy on the CCTV, driving the car away from the scene. There's no doubt that this is going to come back to bite her in the coming weeks.
Could it be that Kit threatens to pin it all on Daniel, if she doesn't go on a date with him? Or perhaps that, catching wind of the fact he knows something, Daisy decides to beat him to his own game, and ask him out so he'll back off?
With Kate Brooks announcing that Daniel will soon admit to still being in love with Daisy, it might seem odd that he goes on to propose to Bethany on Christmas Day...though, perhaps he feels he's lost Daisy forever, and he needs to lock her in.
If Daisy commits to dating Kit in order to keep Daniel safe, chances are she'll keep that to herself. If Daniel things his ex has finally moved on, he may not want to end up on his own in the end.
There's set to be a tear-filled discussion between the two exes on New Year's Eve — might this be because Daisy feels like she's doing the right thing, losing him forever, in order to keep him safe?

It would also explain why, on January 3rd, she decides it's best to cut him and Bertie out of her life, after all this time. The little boy has considered her his mum for years now, why would she suddenly choose to end this? Unless, of course, she feels pressured. Staying away from the Osbournes would hopefully keep their crimes under wraps.
Daisy's desire to cover up what happened with Debbie's car shows just how much she cares for Daniel, and if her own freedom is also on the line, it stands to reason that she may agree to give things with Kit a go.
For the copper, appearing to be in a relationship might help to hide his salacious affair with Shona Platt.
Could this all be part of some elaborate attempt to keep herself and Daniel out of prison? And, once she tries to cut ties with him and Bertie for good, might Daniel then end up admitting how he really feels?
We've no indication as of yet when his love confession comes, but as Daisy turns up to his flat on January 3rd, telling him she shouldn't see him or Bertie anymore, might they end up in one of their classic arguments, with Daniel admitting his feelings in the heat of the moment?
If this is the case, does that mean Daniel only proposes to Bethany because he feels as if he's losing Daisy to Kit? How would that make her feel when she finds out the truth?
With her leaving Weatherfield soon (as actress Lucy Fallon goes on maternity leave), perhaps the truth is set to come out sooner rather than later...
