Tonight on Coronation Street, Leanne Battersby was heartbroken to hear that her dad Les Battersby had passed away at work.
She started to regret not texting him back the other week, knowing that she should have made more of an effort. But, what if Les isn't actually dead?
The death of Les on Coronation Street
Les Battersby lived on the Street for a decade but left in 2007 as he looked towards a bright future as a roadie.
It seems that Les didn't have much success with his band though as he ended up working in a slaughterhouse. And, the irony is that with his work literally involving death on a daily basis, he would also lose his life on the job.
Leanne was super emotional tonight as a police officer turned up at the flat and told her that her dad had died during an accident at work. She regretted not texting him the other week.
She then met up with Toyah but was baffled as to how she already knew about Les' death. Nick fessed up to breaking the news even though Leanne wanted to be the first to tell Toyah.
Later on, Leanne phoned (PHONED) Chesney and told him that his stepdad of four years had died. Ches was gutted but he was more bothered about something else... his latest van mystery. What does this have to do with Les' death? Well...
THEORY: Les death faked?
We have a theory... and it's rather wild but listen up close. What if Les is actually still alive?
Look, his death has kind of come out of nowhere, and nothing just happens for no reason in soap. Chesney is also currently being targeted by a mystery person in a van.
Could these two things be related? We reckon that Les could be the mystery van driver! Les could be trying to let him know that he's actually alive.
But, why make Leanne think that he's dead? Well, again, Rowan and the Institute might just be behind that. They could be playing with Leanne just like they made Toyah believe that Leanne had suffered a motorbike accident. And, if they paid Les to fake his death, we're sure he'd accept the offer for a bit of cash... Could this be true?
