Coronation Street Theory: Shona Sleeps With Kit?

There's nothing fans love more than a theory, and there've been plenty relating to upcoming Christmas spoilers in the last few weeks.

With the news that Shona sneaks off to a hotel to meet someone, speculation has begun, and there's one name coming out on top.

Could Shona be about to embark on an affair with none other than Kit Green?

The bent cop has already been embroiled in enough storylines to make Corrie watchers hate him, but with Jacob Roberts telling Digital Spy that 'Kit ends up being a bit of a naughty boy this Christmas, which I don't think the audience is going to like him for', it seems he's only going to get worse over the festive period.

In upcoming scenes, Shona sneaks out to meet someone in a hotel, ending up injured when Debbie Webster's car is stolen and crashed.

There's little to suggest who it might be she meets up with...but when Shona heads to the police station and gives some information to Craig, Kit is quick to take over, making it clear he has personal investment in the case.

Could that be because he was the one Shona was meeting up with?

While it might seem a big jump, this could well tie into other storylines involving the Platts. Max has already taken a dislike to the copper, due to his lack of empathy surrounding Lauren, and as fans will remember, it was Kit who planted Lauren's hair in Nathan's van earlier this year.

Those ties to the Platt family could end up escalating into an all out war, were he to sleep with Shona.

Fans are speculating that, were the Platts to prove that Kit had tampered with evidence and couldn't be trusted in his position, perhaps this would allow Lauren to walk free.

Plus, with a fire at the Platt house coming up, might this be his retaliation, if the Platt family get him in trouble at work? It looks like only time will tell...
