After a previous theory suggested Shona Platt might be about to embark on an affair with Kit Green, that's looking more and more likely as the week goes on, with Kit witnessing Shona telling David that she'll 'spend the night somewhere else'.
Spend the night somewhere else she did, heading off to a hotel. Could this be to meet up with Kit?
With Kit insinuating he enjoyed her 'impulsive' nature after questioning her at the police station, and next week's spoilers suggesting Kit has some sort of personal involvement with a case, once Shona is involved too, it seems the pair may have gotten close.

Fans will remember that, prior to their relationship hitting the rocks, Shona and David had decided to try for a baby of their own. In Monday's episode, the pair slept together, before their falling out on Wednesday led to her heading off to meet someone else.
Could this be about to lead to another classic 'who's the daddy' storyline?
These have been a soap staple over the years, with previous examples including Leanne, Steve and Nick regarding Oliver's paternity, and Sarah, Damon and Adam more recently. Would there be any way back for Shona and David, if this was the case?
