Coronation Street: Who was Lisa Swain's wife Becky? All we know about her death

Lisa's ready to drown her sorrows this week on Coronation Street as she fails to remember her late wife Becky's birthday. Betsy decides to visit her other mum's grave but Lisa has completly forgotten the occasion.

As Lisa drowns her sorrows in the Rovers, here's all we know about Becky and how she sadly lost her life.

Coronation Street - Becky was Lisa's wife

The first mention of Becky was in May, during Lisa and Carla's car scene. Usually putting on a strong face at work, Lisa showed her vulnerable side with Carla.

Crying after a difficult phone call with her daughter Betsy (who we all we yet to meet), Lisa admitted to Carla that her wife and Betsy's other mum - Becky, had died two and a half years ago.

She had finally decided to move house as their home held to many upsetting memories, but Betsy had decided to throw Becky's old things into a skip.

Carla tried to comfort Lisa as she sobbed about the struggles of single handedly trying to parent a rebellious teen.

How did Becky die?

Lisa recently revealed the upsetting details of Becky's death, with it coming up to her third anniversary since she passed.

With Lisa getting hit by a car whilst trying to stop a mugging on the night of Joel Deering's death, she developed bruises. Carla then quizzed her, prompting her to to explain that her wife had died after a similar incident.

She'd been training to be a policewoman and had argued with Lisa over a case. She then headed out to work and had been hit by a car whilst on duty. Lisa never got to tell Becky that she was right about the argument...

Since then, Betsy's been really struggling, fearing that Lisa would potentially start to replace Becky with another woman. Lisa's also been putting her walls up, running off despite having a romantic moment with Carla the other month.

Coronation Street - Who killed Becky?

Spoilers for next week show that Carla Connor is set to be brutally attacked in the factory. When Lisa brings Mason's brother Matty in for questioning, he makes a comment about Becky that makes Lisa fear that he had something to do with her death...
