Last night, Monday 10th February, the cast of Coronation Street attended the TV Choice Awards.
The awards ceremony, which is voted for by fans, has several soap categories, including Best Soap, Best Soap Newcomer and Best Soap Performance.
Corrie was nominated in various categories - including Best Soap, but unfortunately the Street lost out this time, to fellow ITV soap Emmerdale. All was not lost, though, as former star Peter Ash won Best Soap Performer, for his incredible portrayal of Paul Foreman.
Sydney Martin, who was up for Best Newcomer (as was co-star Jack Carroll) was in attendance, alongside other cobbles women, including Julia Goulding, Vicky Myers, Sair Khan, Claire Sweeney and Jodie Prenger.
The ladies of Weatherfield were also joined by some of their male co-stars, with Peter Ash, Daniel Brocklebank, Colson Smith and Jacob Roberts also in attendance.
Last year, the acting throughout the MND storyline wowed the nation and raised awareness of the condition, so it's no surprise that the fan-voted Best Performance award went to the incredible Peter Ash.
Currently, Peter is currently touring the UK in the stage tour of Picture You Dead - make sure you catch him in a venue near you to see the gripping play.
Over on Instagram, fans were delighted to be treated to a picture of Weatherfield's finest coppers, with Jacob Roberts, Vicky Myers and Colson Smith posing for a picture together.
With Colson sadly leaving our screens soon, this is potentially the last awards show opportunity for an iconic pic like this!
Overall, despite losing out to Emmerdale, the Corrie cast appeared to have a fantastic night at the TV Choice Awards 2025.
We send our congratulations to all the winners and nominees across all of television, particularly the soaps.
As a soap viewer, I feel that the cast and crew do not get enough recognition, so awards ceremonies is an opportunity for the cast and crew to feel appreciated for their work - so we hope it did exactly that.
