There are a fair few people expected to exit this year in 2025 on Coronation Street, with the cast reducing in number.

Here's everyone expected to be leaving this year so far.

Mason died during the first week of Jan (Credit: itv)

Mason Radcliffe

First up, we have Mason Radcliffe. An exit nobody saw coming but one that has already aired. On Monday 6th Jan, Mason lost his life at the hands of his evil brothers.

Matty and Logan stabbed him and left him to bleed out in the precinct. He was rushed to hospital but was unable to be saved.

This was part of the show's knife crime storyline, aiming to show the heartbreaking impact of carrying a knife.

Coronation Street 2025 exit: Evelyn Plummer

Another exit soon to air will be that of Evelyn Plummer. Fan-favourite and close to legend status, Evelyn will be departing the Cobbles for pastures new.

She's going off to Uni to study law. But, this exit will be temporary as she'll be coming and going from the soap in the future. This isn't a final goodbye. It's just goodbye for now.

Bethany Platt

Actress Lucy Fallon is pregnant which means that we can expect at least a temporary exit for character Bethany Platt this year.

Bethany is currently involved in a love triangle storyline with Daisy and Daniel. Daniel recently proposed to Bethany, with the couple now planning their wedding. But, Daisy's preggerz and has no idea who the dad is... Is this the reason why Bethany leaves?

Eileen Grimshaw

After 25 years on the Street, Sue Cleaver has revealed that she's leaving her role of Eileen Grimshaw, according to The Sun.

It's unclear how she'll leave but with her arch-nemesis Gail having jetted off into the sun with Eileen's ex, Jesse, perhaps this gives Eileen some food for thought.

The character of PC Tinker has sadly been axed from the soap, Colson Smith has revealed on social media.

After fourteen years on the soap, Craig will be leaving.

Colson was informed of this news in the autumn of 2024. But, how will PC Craig Tinker leave? Will the door be left open?

Daisy Midgeley

Charlie Jordan is the latest star that has chosen to leave after four years on the show. As reported by The Sun, Daisy Midgeley will leave the show in 'explosive scenes.'

Daisy is currently pregnant but has no idea whether her baby is Kit's or Daniel's. It is unclear whether this will play a part in her exit storyline.

Charlie said: "It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.

“After a brilliant four years for Daisy it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities."
