Inside Charlie Jordan's Other Roles, As She Prepares to Leave Coronation Street

It was announced last week that Charlie Jordan's time on the cobbles will sadly be coming to an end this summer.

Fans of the outspoken barmaid are devastated to see her go, but with tabloids labelling her 'the next Michelle Keegan', she's bound to be appearing on our screens in a new role sooner than we think! So, what else has the Surrey-born actress appeared in so far?

While her current stage name is 'Charlotte Jordan' (likely for Equity purposes - all registered actors in the unique must have a unique name), she's previously been credited under her real name 'Charlie Evans', with a guest role in The Bill at age 13 (ironically playing a girl who had acid thrown at her face), and a main role in Nickelodeon series Summer in Transylvania back in 2010.

Having trained as a dancer from a young age, Charlie has appeared in theatre, including Les Miserables, and was even a part of a band! She previously told Metro: 'when I was 15 and in my last year at school, I auditioned for a band that was being created by Simon Fuller and Geri Halliwell' but went on to say 'as I got older, I realised that acting was what I actually wanted to do and decided to go back to it.'

In 2016, Charlie appeared in film Angel of Decay, and an episode of Casualty, in which she played a dancer in a strip club, who ended up in hospital after accidentally stabbing her own father with a stiletto.

Prior to Corrie, Charlie's most well known role was as Gaby Grant in Netflix's Free Rein. She joined the cast of the children's horse-filled drama, about an American girl living in England, in its second season, staying for both series 2 and 3, as well as the Christmas special.

It was in 2020, during the pandemic, that Charlie gained her role as Daisy in Coronation Street. Over the years, she's solidified her status as a fan favourite, with Daisy's quick-witted and sharp lines, her relationships with Jenny Connor and Daniel Osbourne and hard-hitting storylines such as the stalking ordeal of 2023.

While Daisy's presence on the cobbles will undoubtedly be missed, we can't wait to see what's in store for Charlie next.
