DS Lisa Swain has had an extremely busy year on the cobbles. Near the start of the year, after becoming a permanent addition to the soap, she found herself at the centre of the 'Who attacked Lauren Bolton?' storyline.
After arresting Roy Cropper and being responsible for him going to prison for Lauren's "murder," Lisa made an enemy out of Carla.
In May though, we caught a glimpse of Lisa's personal life away from her detective persona. And, in a vulnerable moment in her car with Carla, everything changed.
Throughout the year, Lisa was the main detective in a number of cases. And, she also opened up about the grief of losing her wife Becky three years ago.
As summer hit, Lisa's daughter Betsy rocked up on the cobbles and it was clear that Lisa had a lot on her plate with her... The teen was quite a rebel.
And now, a love story strongly shipped by fans has now become official as Lisa Swain finds herself in a relationship with Carla Connor (despite their initial hatred of each other.)
But, with Lisa being desperate to find out whether the Radcliffe brothers were involved in Becky's death... And with Betsy causing trouble as usual... Will any of this affect her romance with Carla?
