Soap Queen and This Morning fan-favourite Sharon Marshall finally answered the big question surrounding Joel's death today.
Many viewers have been speculating as to why Joel was in a body bag, as the episode which revealed Lauren as the killer made no mention of this.
Fans have been speculating about this on social media, some even suggesting the Joel must still be alive, as Lauren and Max did not put Joel in the body bag, the body we saw must have belonged to another victim.
However, Sharon Marshall quickly shut down any wild fan suggestions, through a tweet on Twitter/X today, stating:
"Joel was not in a body bag! He was face down, his jacket wet and it was a trick of the light that a rock looked like his head...Joel IS dead. There is no extra twist coming x"
Sharon Marshall attached a photograph with a diagram, pointing to the rock that many people assumed was a head.
For viewers who were hoping Calum Lill would make a surprise re-appearance, so Joel might be brought to justice, this tweet has soon shut down fan speculation.
Over on ITV, Sharon Marshall gave us our usual weekly Tuesday spoilers on This Morning today, 20/11/2024.
Within this segment, Sharon mentioned the use of the volume wall which was used during the stunt involving Joel in last Friday's episode.
Sharon exclusively revealed that the river used to portray Joel's death was copied and pasted by director Duncan Foster, from the 2021 Emmerdale stunt involving Meena Jutla.
Sharon explained how Joel's death scenes were filmed, with the river being added in under the bridge. This gives viewers an insight into how the ITV rival soaps can work together - through using the exact same river scene!
Did you notice that the river was the same in both Emmerdale and Coronation Street? Were you hoping that Joel was still alive, so justice could be served? Let us know!
