It seems there's been no shortage of trouble for the youngster since her arrival on the cobbles, but things get even worse for Betsy Swain this week.
In her short tenure so far, the teenager has already found herself in trouble with the villainous Joel Deering prior to his death, attempting to blackmail him into giving her money in return for her silence. Betsy was left with bruises and found herself being threatened by the rogue solicitor before he was killed off.
Trouble seems to follow her wherever she goes, and she certainly doesn't seem to help herself, getting involved with someone like Mason Radcliffe, who has already been to prison.
Spoilers: Betsy in trouble
Things once again take a turn for the worst this week, as Betsy and Mason grow closer. The pair have had a complex relationship so far, their short-lived romance ending with Betsy setting him up to make it look as if he stole a customer's purse. Despite this, they remained friends, until Mason insisted he couldn't be seen with her, while he was accused of Joel's murder. Now, we see the pair flirting with each other, with Betsy encouraging her friend to lie to his brothers.
As the pair are chatting, Matty pulls up in his car, seeing them together.
Spoilers: Matty and Logan corner Betsy
Matty and Logan, as viewers will already know, are bad news. The brothers have already tried to convince Mason to help them with a series of break ins, and it seems they've also been responsible for beating the youngster up as well.

Later, once she's left alone, the troublesome brothers corner her. Without Mason by her side to help her, will she be able to get away in time? Will anyone be able to help her, or will she be the next victim of Logan and Matty's violent streak..?
