Following on from the upsetting news that Charlie Jordan will be leaving the cobbles this summer, theories of Daisy’s exit are already floating around.
Pregnancy complications
With Christmas Day revealing that Daisy is currently pregnant, it seems likely that the baby will tie into her exit somehow. Could the barmaid die in childbirth? It’s been made clear already just how much she wants to be a mum, and Daniel has already been forced to raise one child alone because his partner died…could history be doomed to repeat itself?
Murdered by Kit
While the dodgy copper hasn’t gone as far as to kill anybody so far (that we’ve seen!), he did come close with Joel. Some fans are predicting, considering their previous connection, that the new villain might be responsible for Daisy’s demise. If it turned out he was the father, could this be a reason for him to lash out and end her life?
…Or Scared Off
Perhaps the cop wouldn’t go as far as to klll her, but after he threatened Beth Tinker out of town, it wouldn’t be the first time he caused someone to leave the street. With Daisy aware of many of his misdemeanours, including the CCTV he deleted to save her, maybe he could convince her to leave and never look back?
Justin breakout
In 2023, Daisy’s stalker was sentenced to ten years in prison, so while there’s no possible way for him to be released after only two…could he find a way to break out? In his previous delusions, Justin believed Daisy was in love with him and wished to marry him, not Daniel. Having already proved what he was capable of wirh the acid, could seeing her pregnant with another man’s baby cause the stalker to kill?
Prison
Like most characters on the cobbles, the morally grey barmaid has committed a fair few crimes in her day. Not only did she recently cover up Debbie Webster’s crashed car for Daniel, there’s also still the matter of 250k stolen from Carla. Could the law finally catch up with her?
Miscarriage heartbreak
With so many pregnancy plots in recent months, many have already speculated that the excited expectant mother might not carry the baby to term. Daisy has been shown to be so happy about becoming a mum, and it would be typical soapy drama for her to end up losing the baby she so desperately wants. Might she decide to move away to start over, after losing her baby?
Return to the Influencer Lifestyle
Prior to Justin causing her to step back from social media, Daisy was a keen influencer. She already had a few deals with kids clothing brands via Bertie, and we’ve already seen her scrolling through baby-related social media posts. With a new baby on the way, could a job offer to work for a similar brand sway her out of Weatherfield?
Fresh start with baby
Of course, we’re very much hoping that both Daisy and her baby will live — and that’s still a possibility! With so much trauma already under her belt in Weatherfield, perhaps the mum-to-be simply decides that she and her baby would be better off living somewhere with less tragedy…and who could blame her?!
Fresh start with Daniel
Fans are desperate to see Daisy and Daniel finally get their happy ending, and we couldn’t agree more. After all they’ve been through, it would be amazing to see the pair decide to have a fresh start somewhere else, to raise Bertie and the new baby away from the street haunted by their past. While soapland is always so full of drama, could the pair get the ending they deserve?
